About Susco Media

Susco Media, Inc. is a privately-owned, rapidly-growing multi-media company based in the 4S Ranch community of San Diego near Rancho Bernardo.

The company provides innovative community magazines delivered to targeted demographics in North San Diego County, along with related websites and newsletters.  In addition, the Susco Media team provides consultation to businesses on creative marketing opportunities utilizing social media, email, multi-media, direct mail, custom publishing and other services.
Started in 2007, the company first published the international Baja Home Directory, a print publication and companion website.  Then in 2009, the company expanded into community publishing with the launch of 92127 Magazine, a glossy publication distributed to every home and condominium in 4S Ranch, Del Sur, High Country West, Santa Fe Valley, Westwood, Santaluz and surrounding areas (west of Interstate 15 and Rancho Bernardo, and north of Rancho Penasquitos).

The next year, Susco Media launched 92129 Magazine, which is delivered to every home in Rancho Penasquitos (west of Interstate 15 along the Highway 56 Corridor – and south adjacent to 92127 Magazine’s coverage area).  In 2011, the company added 92131 Magazine, circulated to every home in Scripps Ranch (east of Interstate 15 and south of Poway and Carmel Mountain Ranch areas). 92128 Magazine (Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Sabre Springs) and 92064 Magazine (Poway) were launched shortly afterward.

While Susco Media is a relatively new company, the company was founded and is managed by executives with extensive experience in all areas of the publishing industry and varied backgrounds including broadcast, printing, target marketing, websites and other electronic mediums, video, and more.  The Susco Team includes dynamic professionals with superb knowledge of the San Diego area markets, small business planning and management, and creative marketing techniques.

Meet Our Staff

Derrick Breaux
Publisher and Chief Operating Officer

Susco Media Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Derrick Breaux, who also serves as the Publisher of the company’s print publications, grew up in a publishing family and was involved in a variety of related tasks from an early age.

Tara Pritchett
Director of Production

Susco Media Director of Production Tara Pritchett has a wide-ranging professional background, including corporate event planning and teaching elementary school.

Most recently she was a marketing assistant planning sales meetings and events on an international level for a local marketing firm; and also managed intranet communications for Newland Communities.

Tyler McElhaney
Art Director

Susco Media Art Director Tyler McElhaney began working in the publishing industry while still in high school, utilizing his family’s publishing background and artistic and graphics talents.

Previously, he worked with the company as a freelance graphic designer, website designer and artist.  His experience includes a variety of freelance are projects and website design work for several clients.  He also worked as an advertising graphic designer for CNI Newspapers based in Wisconsin.

Zeena Gregg
Photographer

Zeena Gregg, who owns and operates Zeena Gregg Photography, is the official photographer for Susco Media’s 92129 Magazine and 92064 Magazine.

Gregg started her photography business – based in Rancho Penasquitos – in 2007, and specializes in children and family portraiture.

Lori Lum
Photographer

Lori Lum, who owns and operates Spark Photography, is the official photographer for Susco Media’s 92127 Magazine, 92128 Magazine and 92131 Magazine.

Lum lives in Carmel Mountain Ranch, and specializes in portrait and event photography.
